Test cricket is a historical part of international cricket and it has existed for more than 2 centuries. Over the years, the red-ball format has gone through multiple changes but it has built some great memories and thrilling rivalries during the journey.
One of the biggest rivalries in Test cricket is “The Ashes” which takes place between England and Australia. However, in the last 2 decades, at a slow pace, the rivalry between India and Australia has taken centre stage in the form of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The name clearly suggests that the series is dedicated to two of the greatest cricketers in the world from respective countries - Alan Border and Sunil Gavaskar. The first edition of the series took place in 1996-97 and it was hosted by India.
India and Australia are the two teams who have clashed on multiple occasions in all the formats of the game. Australia has dominated the ICC tournaments in white ball cricket but has been their biggest challenger.
The two teams are known to produce some of the best cricketers in the world and it is because of the same reason the two teams have always performed neck-to-neck in all the formats of cricket.
Border-Gavaskar trophy will take centre stage and that will bring in the best out of both teams. They both are currently the table toppers and they both will be desperate for a series win against each other. The match prediction for all the fixtures will be uploaded as they are about to take place.
