BPL 2024-25 - Who is Winning?
1) Rangpur Riders - The Table Toppers
Rangpur Riders are leading the point table for the 2nd consecutive time. They were also the table toppers in the previous edition of the league, however, things didn’t work out positively for the franchise in the playoff round.
During the previous season, Rangpur Riders qualified for the playoffs with flying colours. They scored 9 wins and 3 losses last year and maintained their net run rate at +1.438. However, during the playoffs, they faced their first loss against Comilla Victorians and were eliminated after a loss in the 2nd playoff against Fortune Barishals.
This year, the Riders have started the league with a win and they are yet to witness their first loss. The team looks strong this year and in no way anyone can stop them from reaching the final fixture.

2) Chittagong Kings - 2nd in In Line
Chittagong Kings are following the table-toppers Rangpur Riders this year. They started their campaign with a loss against the Khulna Tigers in the first game. It was a high-scoring fixture where the batter of Chittagong Kings failed to do their job well.
However, since their unfortunate loss, they have bounced back well and have scored three consecutive wins in the league. All three fixtures have come out as high-scoring games but the batters of the Kings unit have done a great job.

Fortune Barishal were the trophy winners last year and they are the defending champions in the ongoing season. They are currently at the 3rd spot in the point table with 3 wins and 2 losses and their net run rate stands at +0.838.
Last year as well Fortune Barishal came out as a surprise package. They finished the league at the 3rd spot but played their best cricket in the playoffs and in the final game. Barishal can’t be ruled out for the ongoing season of BPL 2024.25.
