Dwayne Bravo Announces Retirement from Cricket, Joins KKR for IPL 2025 as A Mentor

The West Indian legend and former all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has called it a day from all forms of cricket. Dwayne Bravo was part of CPL 2024 for Trinbago Knight Riders but suffered a groin injury that cut short his season campaign.

Dwayne Bravo, who will turn 41 next month, already planned his retirement after CPL 2024 but due to the injury, he has taken the decision early. His next challenge will be to mentor Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025.

"I've been part of the Trinbago Knight Riders for the last 10 years in the CPL. Having played for and against the Knight Riders in various leagues, I have a lot of respect for how they operate," Bravo said in a statement.

"The owners' passion, the professionalism of the management, and the family-like environment make it a special place. This is the perfect platform for me as I transition from playing to mentoring and coaching the next generation of players."

Dwayne Bravo has been a known face in the T20 cricket leagues and has been a Chennai Super Kings legend in IPL. He has helped the franchise to win 4 IPL trophies, three as a player and one as their bowling coach.
