ECB Announces Squad for Pakistan vs England Test Series

England and Wales Cricket has finalized a 17-member squad for the upcoming Pakistan vs England Test series. The 3-match Test series will be hosted by Pakistan and it is scheduled to begin on 7th October at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Ben Stokes - England’s regular Test captain will be part of the series. He is currently recovering from his hamstring injury and the medical team has assured the selectors that Stokes will be available for the tour.

It is because of his hamstring injury, that Ben Stokes missed out on the 3-match Test series against Sri Lanka. His return will be a huge boost for the batting lineup of England.

With Stokes, Zak Crawley is also making his return to the national side. Crawly has been going through treatment for a fractured finger since July this year. The 26-year-old will be part of England’s top order with Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope.

Seamer Brydon Carse and batter Jordan Cox are the two uncapped players ECB has included in the squad. With these two new faces, Leicestershire leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed and Left-arm spinner Jack Leach are also making their return to the team.

Following England’s win over Sri Lanka at home and Pakistan’s series defeat against Bangladesh at home, the online betting apps have odds in favour of England for the Pakistan vs England Test Series.
