The United Arab Emirates has become the centre point of some new cricket teams in the world. The country has taken the sport seriously by hosting some of the biggest cricket tournaments in the world. They are taking it to the next level this year as the UAE is now hosting Gulf Cricket T20i Championship.

The tournament is organized by the International League T20 and Emirates Cricket Board will be administrating the event. The Gulf Cricket T20i Championship is scheduled to begin on 13th December with United Arab Emirates facing Bahrain in the first fixture. This is going to be the 2nd edition of the tournament. The first edition took place in 2023 and it was won by Oman. Oman defeated the United Arab Emirates in the final game and clinched the trophy.

The tournament involves a total of 6 teams from the Gulf region. The league stage will take place in round robin format and in the end, there will be a final to decide the winner of the tournament.

All the league stage fixtures will be played at the ICC Academy Ground and the final game will be hosted by Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
