The first Test match between India and Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium saw some firecrackers on the ground. Hasan Mahmud registered his name in the record books. He became the first Bangladesh bowler to pick a five-wicket haul in Test cricket in India.

Hasan showed early signs of his brilliance by getting rid of India’s top order. Skipper Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli were his initial victims on Day 1. Rishabh Pant and pacer Jasprit Bumrah were his next two targets on Day 2.
