Heather Knight Confirms her Availability for WBBL 10

Women’s Big Bash League season 10 is scheduled to begin from 27th October. The first fixture will take place between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat at the Adelaide Oval.

England’s star player Heather Knight has confirmed her availability for the series after recovering from an injury that occurred during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Heather left the ground during the final group stage match of England during the T20 World Cup because of a calf injury.
It was for the same reason, that there were doubts for Heather Knight’s presence in the league this year. However, all doubts have been cleared as she took on to social media platform X to confirm her availability for WBBL 10 and her disappointment with England’s early exit from the T20 World Cup.
“A tough way to bow out of the tournament. Still gutted, but these experiences will only make us stronger. We’ll be back!” Addressing her injury and her return to play, Knight provided more details: “Thanks for all the well wishes, I’m recovering well! Turns out I ruptured my plantar muscle — the longest tendon in the body. Luckily, it’s a fairly redundant muscle, so while it was painful, it won’t keep me out for long. Excited to join the Thunder squad soon!”
She underwent an immediate examination after returning home from the T20 World Cup. The medical team, after the examination, also confirmed that her injury was not serious and her recovery was at full pace.
Heather Knight is part of Sydney Thunder and she is crucial for the franchise. Her presence will definitely give the team a major boost for the tournament.
