In the 6th ODI of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Bangladesh will meet New Zealand on Monday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Both teams have witnessed a different start to their respective campaign for the Champions Trophy and they both will be looking forward to a win.
New Zealand is currently leading the point table of Group A with a win in the first match against Pakistan. Their net run rate stands at +1.200. New Zealand has come to play in the Champions Trophy after winning the tri-nation series against Pakistan and South Africa.
Bangladesh had a weak start to the tournament. They witnessed a loss in the first game against team India. The onus of the loss goes to their batting unit that failed against the pace attack of men in blue.
New Zealand will be looking forward to a win because that will guarantee them a confirmed spot in the semi-final. More than that, a win will give them the required confidence for the remaining of the fixtures.
Bangladesh currently stands at the 3rd spot in Group A with a single loss and their net run rate stands at -0.408. A win in the upcoming fixture against New Zealand will save them from getting eliminated from the tournament at an early stage.
