Later, broadcasters asked for a delay considering the Champions Trophy Final schedule which is reserved for March 9th. However, reports claim that broadcasters have not approved any such requests.

BCCI to Appoint Panel for Making Final Announcements on WPL and IPL
The Board elected Devjit Saikia as the full-term secretary and Prabthej Singh Bhatia as the treasurer. These officials were elected at the Special General Meeting that was held on January 12th, Sunday in Mumbai.
BCCI Vice-President, Rajiv Shukla stated that the final squad for the Champions Trophy will be revealed on January 17th and 18th. They shall also report venues for the upcoming Women’s Premiere League as well.
