IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Rishabh Pant Will Be Retained by Delhi Capitals

IPL 2025 mega auction is about to go on the floors. Every franchise is in the process of finalizing its list of retained players for the next season. Rumours are surrounding every player but Delhi Capitals have ended every speculation regarding their skipper Richabh Pant.
Delhi Capitals co-owner, Parth Jindal, has come out and ended with every rumour regarding Pant’s association with Delhi Capitals. Jindal has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will be retained by Delhi Capitals.
Jindal stated, “Rishabh Pant will definitely be retained,”. He has given a confirmation that in any case Pant will be part of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025 and the franchise trusts Pant’s talent as the leader.
Jindal stated, “We have some very good players, and after discussions with GMR and our director, Sourav Ganguly, decisions will be made.” This clearly means that the mentor and the management will soon make the decision on Rishabh Pant.
IPL 2025 will see some major changes happening in every team because of the mega auctions. There are some big players who are expected to make a shift to a different franchise.
Rishabh Pant made his debut in IPL in 2016 with Delhi Capitals. He has been a loyal player for the team and on multiple occasions, Pant has come out as the match-winner for the team.
For IPL 2021, Rishabh Pant was named as the new skipper for the team when Shreyas Iyer suffered an injury. Since then, Pant has been the leading man for the team.
He missed out on IPL 2023 because of his deadly accident in December 2022 but in IPL 2024, Pant made his comeback to the league. Under his captaincy, Delhi Capitals have finished at the 1st, 5th, and 6th spot in 2021, 2022, and 2024 respectively.
