IPL 2025 - Uncapped Batters To Watch Out

The Indian Premier League is known for its unique action from the batters from all the franchises. Consistent boundaries and maximums are what make the league more exciting and thrilling for cricket fans from across the globe.

During the previous edition of the league, multiple records were broken by the batters and since we are at the edge of the beginning of IPL 2025, the momentum is expected to continue.

It is because of the IPL 2025 mega auction, that many new faces are expected to get a chance to prove their talent for their respective franchises. In this article, we bring you a list of uncapped batters who will be eyeing to score runs and knock on the door of BCCI and the selection committee for Team India.

1) Shashank Singh - Punjab Kings

Shashank Singh from Punjab Kings showed a glimpse of his talent in the previous edition of the league. He is a middle-order batter who can also play the role of a finisher. Punjab Kings finished at the 9th spot in the league last year with just 5 wins. However, in more than 60% of fixtures of the league, Shashank Singh came out as the match-winner for the team. It is because of the same reason Shashank Singh was retained by the franchise for the upcoming season of the league.

2) Robin Minz - Mumbai Indians

Robin Minz was purchased by Gujarat Titans in the previous edition. However, it was because of an unfortunate accident, that Robin Minz had to miss out on the whole season. In IPL 2025, Robin Minz was signed by Mumbai Indians and he is expected to play a few IPL matches this year. The 22-year-old wicket-keeper batter will be making his debut in the league and he will be nurturing his talent under the management of Mumbai Indians.

3) Bevon Jacobs - New Zealand

New Zealand has become an unstoppable force when it comes to international cricket. It is only made possible because of the younger generation. Bevon Jacobs is one name that is doing rounds on the domestic grounds of New Zealand. He is signed by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025 and the 22-year-old is expected to make his debut this year. He was last seen playing ILT20 2025 but Bevon Jacobs carries enough T20 experience to shine in IPL.

4) Abishek Porel - Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals will definitely give Abhishek Porel some chances in IPL 2025. He was signed by the franchise for a price tag of INR 4 Crore from the IPL mega auctions. Abhishek Porel is a proven talent in India’s domestic circuit. He was the 6th highest run-scorer in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25. Abhishek Porel also has a good experience of playing IPL as he made his debut in the league in 2023 with Delhi Capitals. 5) Aryan Juyal - Lucknow Super Giants

Aryan Juyal was one of the key players from India’s Under-19 squad. He has been a consistent performer in the domestic circuit and after a break of 2 years from IPL, Aryan Juyal will be seen playing for Lucknow Super Giants. It is a comeback for the wicket-keeper batter and he would like to make full use of it. Aryan Juyal was last seen playing for Uttar Pradesh in the Sayed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 and had a positive season.

IPL 2025 - More Young Batters to Shine

Chennai Super Kings have signed C Andre Siddarth in their squad. The 18-year-old batter might not be used by the team management in playing XI but he is a top-order batter who is known for his talent in First-Class and List-A cricket.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi is another batter to watch out for. He is part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad and at the age of 20, Angkrish Raghuvanshi has scored 385 runs in 21 T20s at an average of 24.06 with a strike rate of 134.14.
