Matthew Mott will be assisting Hemang Badani, the former Indian cricketer who was appointed Head coach by the Delhi Capitals Franchise last year in October.

The 52-year-old former Australian cricketer is to join as an assistant coach in Delhi Capitals as per the reports revealed yesterday.
- He will assist the head coach Hemang Badani, bowling coach Munaf Patel and Director of Cricket Venugopal Rao in the Support staff of DC.
- Delhi Capitals have appointed a new support staff line-up to pep up for the upcoming IPL season 2025.
- Hemang Badani was signed as DC’s head coach last year, and the line-up also mentions other names stated above.
- Mott has been associated to IPL before when he was positioned as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) assistant coach. During that spell, John Buchanan was KKRs head coach. John also retained the position during earlier seasons of the tournament in 2008 and 2009.

- He has also toiled hard to train the women’s national team of Australia as the head coach from 2015 to 2020.
- Post his exit from the England White-Ball, Mott was signed by the Sydney Sixers as an assistant coach in BBL. It was a three-year deal signed in last September.
Mott has led both the men's and women's international teams in the global tournaments successfully. He led England’s women squad to fetch two remarkable T20 World Cup-winning titles in 2018 and 2020. It was followed by the ODI World Cup title in 2022 and the remarkable Four Ashes series win.
