Mumbai Indians is one of the strongest teams in the history of the Indian Premier League. Before the beginning of IPL 2025 mega auction, Mumbai Indians team management retained their core players - Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma. This is a step that will work in favour of the team for the upcoming season.

During the IPL mega auction, Trent Boult came out as the costliest player for the team for a price tag of INR 12.50 Crore. They also signed Deepak Chahar for a price tag of INR 9.25 Crore.

Allah Ghazanfar (Rs. 4.80 crore), Will Jacks (Rs. 5.25 crore), Ryan Rickelton (Rs. 1 crore), Mitchell Santner (Rs. 2 crore), and Reece Topley (Rs. 75 lakh) were the other overseas players who were signed by the management.

Naman Dhir is a new addition to the team to watch out for. He was purchased from the draft for a price tag of INR 5.25 Crore. He had a good domestic season in the last one year and will be expected to continue the momentum in IPL 2025.

The team is overly dependent on their pace attack, and that can lead them to big trouble if any pacer incurs an injury during the tournament.
