The mega auction for the IPL 2025 has been wrapped up successfully. The big stage is all set for another exciting season. A lot of scenarios changed in the mega auction. But a big shock came when Mohammed Siraj was sold to Gujarat Titans. With that, the marquee Indian bowler ended his seven-year strength. While leaving the franchise, Mohammed Siraj penned a long, emotional note. That is making the internet crazy.
Siraj’s Emotional GoodBye to RCB
The mega auctions come with a lot of variables. Things remained the same for the recently ended mega-auction. Before stepping into the grand event, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru didn’t retain Mohammed Siraj. That was a shock for the fans. But the biggest shock came when RCB didn’t bid for the Indian pacer. Even they consider the RTM card for Siraj. As a result of it, Gujarat Titans roped up with the Indian pacer.
With that, Siraj ended his seven-year-long stint with the franchise. After the mega auction, he penned a heartfelt letter to RCB fans. He conveyed his appreciation and promised that RCB and their unwavering support would always have a special place in his heart.
Siraj wrote, “To my dear RCB, Saat saal RCB ke saat mere dil ke bahut kareeb hai. As I look back on my time in an RCB shirt my heart is full of gratitude, love and emotion. The day I first wore the RCB jersey, I never imagined the bond we would form.”
“From the first ball I bowled in RCB colours, to every wicket taken, every match played, every moment shared with you, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. There have been ups and downs, but through it all, one thing has been constant: your unwavering support. RCB is more than just a franchise; it’s a feeling, a heartbeat, a family that feels like home.”
Ready to Roar for the Titans
Siraj made his IPL debut for RCB in 2018 and has since established himself as one of the most dependable pacers in Indian cricket. During the IPL 2025 Auction, Gujarat Titans acquired him for a staggering 12.25 crore. The franchise chose to invest in him as a key player, looking beyond Mohammed Shami for their pace lineup.
Starting with a base price of 2 crore, Siraj drew interest from several franchises. Both Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals placed bids for him. Ultimately, it was Gujarat Titans who emerged victorious in the bidding war, finalizing the deal. With his experience and talent, Siraj is anticipated to spearhead the Titans’ pace attack in the upcoming season.
