BCB takes a big call by replacing Hashan Tillakaratne with Sarwar Imran as the head coach for Bangladesh’s Women’s team. The decision was taken by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as they closely missed selection for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025.
Harish Tillakaratne recently vacated the post as the nation's Women's Squad failed to qualify for the upcoming ODI World Cup season under his leadership.

Bangladesh Narrowly Escaped ICC Women's ODI World Cup Qualifiers
It was disheartening for BCB that the team missed qualifying for the ICC women’s ODI 2025 automatically. The team was at 21 points while New Zealand aced the race to seize the ICC Women’s Championship position.
