Scotland is Eager to Prove Full-member Credentials After T20 World Cup Heartbreak
The international cricket will turn its face towards a 3-match Scotland vs Australia T20i series. Scotland is hosting Australia and the first fixture is all set to begin from 4th September.
The squads have been announced from both sides. Richie Berrington will be leading the Scotts and Australia will be led by the ferocious Mitchell Marsh.
Scotland was granted full-time membership in the ICC in 2018. Since then, Scotland has been part of major ICC tournaments but they have failed to make an impact as compared to their counterparts.
Ireland and Afghanistan have seen a major improvement in their performance on the international stage. However, playing against Australia is an opportunity for Scotland to learn and grow and prove their worth to be a full-time member of ICC.
Scotland vs Australia - Head-to-Head Stats
The two teams have met only once in the shortest format of cricket. Their previous meeting happened during the T20 World Cup 2024 where Australia came out as the winners.
