Shaheen Afridi Rested for Workload Management from Pakistan Team; Signs up to Play BPL

Shaheen Shah Afridi has been rested for the 2-match Test series against South Africa. The decision was taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board in order to give some rest to Afridi and prepare him well for the upcoming Champions Trophy. However, Shaheen Afridi will be seen in action playing for Fortune Barshal in the BPL 2024-25.

The left-arm pacer was Pakistan’s key player in the ODI triumph against the hosts. He scalped 5 wickets in 2 ODIs at an average of 18.60.
