South Africa vs India 3rd T20i - Key Players for Both Teams

South Africa vs India T20i Series has come to a thrilling turn where both teams have won a single fixture each. The series consists of 4 fixtures and it will be interesting to see what happens next in the rest of the fixtures.

The two teams will now meet for the third fixture which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium. Check out the match prediction for the 3rd T20 between the two teams. The hosts lost the first fixture but immediately bounced back in the 2nd T20 and equalized the series.

In the 2nd T20, which took place at St. George’s Oval, Team India struggled with the bat and had a poor start to the game. Their top order failed to score runs and lost their wickets on easy attacks.

The first 3 wickets of the visitors fell for a score of 15 runs and the trouble began for India at that hour of the game. However, Tilak Varma (20 off 20 balls) and Axar Patel (27 off 21 balls) balanced the situation.

Former skipper Hardik Pandya was the leading scorer but he was slow and missed out on scoring crucial runs during the game. Pandya scored 39 off 45 balls at a strike rate of 86.67.

The Proteas bowlers played an important role in the win of the hosts. Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee started the game on a positive note by picking up a single wicket each in the early hours.

The 21-year-old pacer Andile Simelane did the damage during the middle overs and picked up a single wicket as well. In the spin segment, skipper Aiden Markram and Nqaba Peter contributed with a single wicket each.

When it came to the batting lineup of the hosts, there was no pressure as it was a low-scoring fixture. However, the unexpected departure of the top order put immense pressure on the middle order.

Tristan Stubbs rose to the occasion and made sure that he scored the winning runs. Stubbs scored 47 off 41 balls without losing his wicket at a strike rate of 114.63. The weak point of the hosts in their batting was their constant loss of wickets on the other end.

From India’s bowling, one name shined and threatened the opposition - Varun Chakaravarthy. Varun Chakaravarthy scalped 5 wickets in 4 overs at an economy of 4.25 and gave a tough time to the Proteas batters. However, he was the only performer on the bowling end and hence couldn't stop the opposition from winning the game. The online betting apps have odds in favour of Varun Chakravarty for the 3rd fixture.
