In the IPL 2024, the Sunrisers Hyderabad caught headlines with their exceptional performances. After consecutive disappointments, they bounced back in the previous season. Before entering into the auction arena, they retained five players combined with some match-winners. But on the first day of the auction, they picked up eight mighty players in their squad. SRH Big Buys In IPL 2025 Auction
After retaining some big names ahead of the IPL auction, the Sunrisers Hyderabad grabbed some best players. They made some great deals.SRH seems focused on adding more pacers to their squad, complementing their already strong batting lineup. After the Gujarat Titans released the Indian speedster, Mohammad Shami was in the auction. SRH grabbed him with a 10 crore deal. That was a big buy. For the Gujarat Titans, Shami played exceptionally well and SRH fans are hoping for the same. Another great pick for the SRH was Ishan Kishan. After Mumbai Indians released with wicketkeeper-batter was high on demand. Some major franchises fought for him but SRH sealed the deal with 11.25 crore.
SRH Sort’s Out Death Bowling Woes
The Hyderabad franchise made a strong start on Day 1 of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, securing eight players. They now have 5.15 crore left in their purse. Key signings include Harshal Patel, Rahul Chahar, and Adam Zampa, strengthening their bowling attack. Atharva Taide and Abhinav Manohar were also added to boost the squad's depth, alongside Simarjeet Singh.
Smart Picks, Backup Options
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) kicked off Day 2 of the IPL auction with just over ₹5 crore, making them the team with the least budget left. Nevertheless, they made some smart moves, starting with acquiring Sachin Baby for ₹30 lakh. The experienced left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat returned to the team for ₹1 crore, proving to be a valuable addition to the team. Unadkat returned to SRH after being part of their squad last season. The franchise also brought in South African-born English pacer Brydon Carse at his base price of ₹1 crore, enhancing their fast-bowling lineup. Additionally, versatile all-rounder Kamindu Mendis was signed for ₹75 lakh.
