Surrey to Retain 51 Percent Stake in Oval Invincibles in Deal with MI

Surrey County Cricket Club is about to acquire the majority of the stakes in Oval Invincibles with Mumbai Indians. Reportedly, the MI Franchise is offering 51% stake to SCCC while retaining 49% to themselves.
MI Cape Town won at the SA20 2025 and that’s why SCCC planned to sell the 49% stakes to Mumbai Indian Franchise owned by Reliance Industries Limited. MI to add Oval Invincibles as a part of their squad.
Oval Invincibles Emerging as the Leading Franchise in 2025
It is popularly known that Oval Invincibles manage multiple men as well as women competition. OI belongs to the Surrey County Cricket Club that takes hold of the team control with 51% shares.
- RISE is the subsidiary of Reliance Industries that would partner with Surrey and be its hundred team by transferring partnership from ECB.
- Surry will hold 51 percent stakes in the Hundred Team while RISE will hold 49 percent of the overall share.

ECB Sold Oval Invincibles at Valuation of GBP 123 Millions
England and Wales Cricket Board decided to sell OI as first hundred team to Surrey. The RIL or RISE will pay for 49% of the share rounding off to GBP 60 million.
The Hundred’s star team has helped club to win titles for four consecutive years and Oval Invincibles deserve the share. Their women’s team won two titles one after other followed by men’s team winning position in 2023 and 2024.
