Suryakumar Yadav Recovers From Injury; Set To Return For Duleep Trophy 2024

Suryakumar Yadav will be joining India C for the remaining rounds of Duleep Trophy 2024. He was going through a recovery process from his injury and now the India T20 skipper is all set to make his appearance for India’s first-class cricket.
Before the beginning of the first round of Duleep Trophy 2024, Suryakumar Yadav was all set to feature for India C. However, the player injured his hand while playing for Mumbai in the Buchi Babu Tournament.
He was at the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore, recovering from a hand injury. However, the medical team at NCA has confirmed that Surya’s recovery has been successful and now he is ready to go back in action.
"Surya's recovery is going well. He is almost 100 per cent and he knows it," said a BCCI source who met Surya during the India A and India B of the Duleep Trophy 2024.

Suryakumar Yadav Eyeing Test Return
With making his presence in the Duleep Trophy this season, Surya will be targeting to make his comeback for team India in the red-ball format. He has only been part of India in a single test match.
India is scheduled to host Bangladesh for a 2-match Test series. BCCI has already announced the squads and Surya was part of the 16-member squad. A tight schedule of red-ball format is ahead of team India and Surya might make it to the squad.
Duleep Trophy - Performance of India C in Round 1
The first round of Duleep Trophy 2024 was played on 5th September. India C faced India D under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad. India C started the new season of the Duleep Trophy with a win in the first fixture.
The onus of the win goes to the bowling unit who dominated the match from the 1st inning. Anshul Kamboj, Vyshak Vijay Kumar, and Himanshu Manoj Chauhan were the primary wicket takers.
On the batting front, Baba Indrajith was the leading run scorer for India C. With 72 off 149 balls, Indrajith gave the much-required scoring momentum to the team at a strike rate of 48.32.
Manav Suthar came out on top with the bowl in the 2nd inning. He scalped 7 wickets at an economy of 2.56 and helped India C to continue their dominance in the match.
Ruturaj Gaikawad (46 off 48), Aryan Juyal (47 off 74), and Rajat Patidhar (44 off 77) were the primary run scorers in the 2nd inning.
India C looks like a strong team, and their performance was fabulous in the first fixture. They will face India A next and all the top betting apps in India have odds in favour of India C.
