Batting Woes In Bridgetown
Sometimes the batters have to hold their hands up and say they were outdone by strong bowling but the returns from both teams were very poor across day one of this three Test series.

The new look Australian batting line-up, deprived of mainstays Steve Smith (injured) and Marnus Labuschagne (dropped) looked a shadow of their usual confident selves with only experienced pair of opener Usman Khawaja (47) and Travis Head (59) providing any resistance.
Bowlers To Dominate Again On Thursday?
It was certainly a day for opening bowlers to let rip and we could well see the same on Thursday. Indeed if another 14 wickets are to fall then the game will be very close to a conclusion!
Jayden Seales was the pick with 5/60 while his new-ball partner Shamar Joseph was economical as well as dangerous taking 4/46.
But anything West Indies bowlers can do, the Australians will try and do better and it was no surprise to see Mitchell Starc (2/35), Josh Hazlewood (1/13) and Pat Cummins (1/8) all among the wickets across the 20 overs.

- In a low-scoring game, the odds can fluctuate quickly and although the draw is unlikely to ever look like a worthwhile punt in this Test, a good argument could be made to back either side at this stage!
Australia begin day two as favourites at but a quick-fire partnership from West Indies, who still have Shai Hope to come, could see their current pricing of become excellent value.
- Eleven of the 14 wickets on day one were caught with the ball moving off the straight and regularly kissing the edge of the bat.
If the batters of both sides continue to struggle, do not be surprised if the slips and wicket-keepers are busy on day two. Therefore, backing the next dismissal as 'caught' would be a smart move.
