The time has come for the Nepal Cricket team to travel to the United States of America for a 3-match T20 series. The two teams have not faced each other much in the shortest format of cricket and the series is expected to be the beginning of a new rivalry in T20i cricket.

Nepal will be travelling to the USA after participating in the Tri-nation T20 series that took place in Canada. The series involved the host and Oman. Nepal defeated Oman twice but faced two defeats against Canada in the series. Playing against the USA will contribute to their international experience.

The USA is coming back home after a tri-nation series against Nambia and UAE. The series was hosted by Namibia where the USA defeated Namibia on 2 occasions and faced a single defeat against UAE. They also defeated UAE on one occasion in the series.
