WBBL 10: Adelaide Strikers Sign Young Maggie Clark for the Upcoming Season

Women’s Big Bash League is about to go on the floor with its 10th season. The first fixture is scheduled to take place on 27th October between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat at the Adelaide Oval.
Adelaide Strikers are in the process of finalising their squad and they have successfully signed a young Australian prospect for WBBL 10. The 17-year-old Maggie Clark is signed by the Strikers for WBBL 10.
“As a proud South Australian who grew up in the State’s mid-north, I’ve cheered on the Strikers as they brought home the WBBL trophy for the past two summers. To now find myself in the squad alongside so many great players is truly a dream come true,” shared Maggie Clark.
Maggie Clark has been a regular feature in Australia’s U-19 side. She is a pace bowler and has done exceptionally well in recent fixtures. The Strikers might use Maggie from the start and that might open multiple doors for her in the near future.

Even though Maggie is just 17, she carries enough experience in U-19 cricket to be a key player for Adelaide Strikers. The Strikers have strengthened their bowling attack by signing Clark for WBBL 10.

Adelaide Strikers - WBBL 9 Season Review
Adelaide Strikers are the defending champions this year. WBBL 9 title was their second consecutive and the franchise will be looking forward to creating a history by lifting the trophy for the 3rd consecutive time.
The Strikers finished their league stage by being at the top of the point table with 11 wins and 3 losses. Their net run rate stood at +1.154 in the league.
Adelaide Strikers directly qualified for the final game and faced Brisbane Heat. After a below-average start from the batting unit, the bowlers did a fabulous job and came out as the match-winners in the final game.
