In the 3rd season of the Women’s Premier League, all eyes will be on Gujarat Giants. The franchise has been the weakest link in both seasons and they have finished at the bottom of the point table on both occasions.
In the previous edition of WPL, Gujarat Giants went through a nightmare and finished at the bottom of the point table with just 2 wins and 6 losses. Their net run rate stood at -1.158.
They have not been in good shape in both seasons and the team has struggled to win matches consistently. The primary reason for their below-average performance has been the wrong team combination. Gujarat Giants have failed to identify the right combination of the batting unit and the bowling unit.
As the third season of WPL is about to go on the floor, the legal WPL betting apps in India will be keeping a close watch on the performance of the team. Gujarat Giants team management has done well during the WPL 2025 auctions and they have tried to fill in the void in the team.
Beth Mooney will be leading the team again. The management has shown their trust in her for the 3rd consecutive season. She was also the leading scorer for the team in WPL 2024 with 285 runs in 8 matches at an average of 47.50 and a striker rate of 141.08.
Gujarat Giants also have Laura Wolvaardt and Phoebe Litchfield for the upcoming season. Laura Wolvaardt was the 2nd highest scorer for the team in the previous edition with 167 runs in 6 matches at an average of 27.83 and a strike rate of 129.45.
In their batting lineup, Harleen Deol will be the key player. She is known for her explosive batting and scoring quick runs under pressure. In the bowling unit, Gujarat Giants will have Meghna Singh. Mannat Kashyap will play the role of all-rounder for the team.
