WTC 2023-25 Qualification Scenarios for the Final Match
The International Cricket Council finalized the date and venue for the WTC 2023-25 final match. The fixture is scheduled to take place from 11th to 15th June 2025. 16th June will be kept as a reserve day in case of any interruptions during the match.
A new Test season has already begun. All the top teams will be giving their last shot to reach the final game and lift the trophy in 2025.

Team India Qualification Scenario for WTC Final
Team India will be in the spotlight in the red-ball format in the coming months. The two-time finalists are already close to reaching their 3rd final of the World Test Championship.
Skipper Rohit Sharma and his men are at the top of the WTC 2023-25 point table with 74 points. They are yet to play 10 more Test fixtures in the next one year and to reach the final match, team India needs to win 8 Test fixtures.
If they win all of their 10 matches in the coming month, team India will reach a maximum of 85.08 percentage points. Their next red-ball series will be against Bangladesh and will begin on 19th September.

Australia's Chances to Qualify for WTC Final
The defending champions are currently at the 2nd spot in the WTC 2023-25 point table. They have 90 points overall with 8 wins. Aussies are only left to play a 5-match series against the table toppers India.
To reach the final match, Australia needs wins in 4 matches. The defending champions carry an upper hand against India as they will be playing at home.
However, India is also scheduled to face New Zealand at home and hence thing might not go as per the plan for Australia.
New Zealand Looking for Redemption
The Black Caps were the winner of the first edition of the World Test Championship. They defeated India in the first final of the tournament and lifted the trophy.
However, in the 2nd cycle of the World Test Championship, the Kiwis were not up to the mark and failed to defend the title. In the WTC 2023-25 cycle, New Zealand has come out as a strong contender.
They are currently at the 3rd spot in the point table and they need 7 wins out of their pending 8 fixtures to reach the final fixture. Their spot in the final game will also depend on the India vs Australia 5-match Test series scheduled to take place later this year.
