Cricket fans across the globe are all set to witness another thrilling limited series. Zimbabwe is all set to take on Pakistan in a three-match ODI series. The series is set to be staged on November 22. Before that, the Zimbabwe Cricket Board announced an interesting squad. They named three talented uncapped players in the squad.
The new inclusions are Trevor Gwandu, Tashinga Musekiwa, and Tinotenda Maposa. While Gwandu and Musekiwa have both represented Zimbabwe in T20Is, Maposa is yet to make his international debut.
Maposa has played only three List A matches, where he has taken four wickets. His economy rate stands at 6.29, showing promise with the ball. This series will offer him an opportunity to prove himself at the international level, alongside Gwandu and Musekiwa, who bring experience from the shorter formats of the game. Cricket match prediction experts are eagerly awaiting the series to see how these young talents perform against a strong Pakistani side.
David Mutendera’s View on the Squad
Zimbabwe's Convener of Selectors David Mutendera opened up on this exiting ODI squad against Pakistan. He said, “The series against Pakistan is an important platform for Zimbabwe, and we believe the ODI squad we have selected is well-rounded.”
Later he added, “The presence of seasoned players like Craig [Ervine], Sikandar [Raza] and Sean [Williams] provides stability, while young players like Clive Madande, Brian Bennett, Dion Myers, and the uncapped trio bring energy and the potential for game-changing moments.”
