And that’s it. You can continue the process from the 10th step whenever you want to place another wager on the SA20.
Using a good SA20 betting app is always the best option for punters looking to wager on the go or who are accustomed to betting on their mobile devices.
However, convenience is not the only thing that makes SA T20 betting apps an excellent solution for most bettors.
You’re bound to get all the wagering options you would find on a desktop site. That’s because the operators ensure their apps are identical to the official website regarding their sports and market coverage. In that regard, the apps are usually copies, only varying in design and added functions to make them Android and iOS compatible.
The Parimatch betting app is an excellent example of quality design. It’s easy to use and is currently one of the leaders in cricket betting in India. It’s optimised for the market as it features a range of popular payment methods in India, like UPI and PhonePe, and comes in several Indian languages.
Other betting apps for cricket, like the Dafabet app, offer reliable support for cricket fans in terms of an abundance of markets and highly competitive odds.
If you’re looking for a wide range of promotions like lucrative welcome packages, special promos for the SA20, and various cashbacks and free bets, you can go for an app known for its deals, like 10CRIC. The sportsbook is heavily focused on the Indian market, so expect detailed coverage of all cricket events, most notably the IPL. It’s also known for running special offers for specific cricket competitions while they’re on.
Naturally, we can’t forget the Betway app, even though it belongs to a sportsbook that doesn’t heavily focus on the Indian market. It’s still one of the leaders in the world of sports betting, with some of the highest odds you’ll find. Plus, it’s the official partner of the SA20, so it’s bound to have promo goodies for SA T20 bettors whenever the season is ongoing.
You can start with any of these if you’re looking for a good app. Take a closer look at our complete list of the top SA20 betting apps on the Indian market right below to get additional choices.
The SA20, or the South Africa T20 League, is a novel franchise cricket tournament using the popular Twenty20 format. Cricket South Africa (CSA), the governing body of both pro and amateur cricket in the country, established the competition in August 2022, and you can already find it on the best betting sites in India.
It replaced an unsuccessful franchise T20 league, the Mzansi Super League, that first began as the T20 Global League. The competition lasted for only two seasons, in 2018 and 2019, after which it was cancelled due to the pandemic. It never continued as the CSA found it commercially unviable.
SA20 is administered by the CSA, the majority stakeholder in Africa Cricket Development Limited (ACD), the formal owner of the new franchise cricket league. The IPL, through its COO Sundar Raman, has a say in the league through its shares.
However, the IPL is a major supporter of the SA T20 as all new teams are bought by IPL franchises, making the new squads effectively extensions of the famous IPL cricket juggernauts.
The South Africa T20 League aims to become the number one sport and entertainment brand in the country, and the world’s second-biggest cricket league, after the Indian Premier League, of course. Hopefully, the same will be true for SA20 betting.
The SA20 has six franchise teams:
Durban’s Super Giants
Joburg Super Kings
MI Cape Town
Paarl Royals
Pretoria Capitals
Sunrisers Eastern Cape
What Are the SA20 Rules?
The SA20 is a Twenty20 cricket competition that follows the standard T20 cricket rules. However, there are some important rules we should cover regarding the teams you can pick and how the actual seasons will unfold. This information is crucial for anyone interested in SA20 betting online.
The new South African franchise league is modelled after the Indian Premier League, so squads get to pick cricketers at an auction, making the SA20 the second major T20 tournament to feature auctions instead of drafts. Each one has a purse of around ₹166 million to sign up a total of 17 South African and overseas players.
Every team can get up to ten domestic and seven overseas cricketers. Before the auction, a squad can acquire as many as five players — three overseas, one domestic, and one uncapped South African cricketer.
In a late addition to the rules for the inaugural season, each team was allowed to get one wildcard player, who could be a domestic or overseas cricketer.
When the action begins, each squad will need to have a minimum of seven SA players on the field.
As for the format of the season itself, it has a group and a playoff stage. Six teams are set to play each other twice in the group stage, so it’s a double round-robin system with a total of 30 matches.
The top four squads advance to the playoffs, playing first in the semi-finals (1st ranked with the 4th ranked team and 2nd with the 3rd ranked squad) and then the winners in the finals. The whole season is thus set to have 33 matches.
The South Africa T20 League features six franchise cricket teams from all over the country. We’ll tell you about each one, but bear in mind that information on their performance is limited at best, at least for now, as the 2022-23 edition is the inaugural SA20 season, and each squad is brand new, with the cricketers they registered playing for them for the first time.
MI Cape Town
IPL owner — Mumbai Indians
Home ground — Newlands Cricket Ground
City — Cape Town
Head coach — Simon Katich
The team’s captain is the famous Afghan bowler Rashid Khan. MI Cape Town also signed Jofra Archer as the wildcard player, while other star players include Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada, and Sam Curran.
They are set to play in the inaugural match of the new tournament against the Paarl Royals. The game is scheduled for 10 January 2023 and will be played on MI’s home field.
Paarl Royals
IPL owner — Rajasthan Royals
Home ground — Boland Park
City — Paarl
Head coach — JP Duminy
Paarl’s costliest buy was Tabraiz Shamsi, who they bought for ₹20.2 million, while their captain is David Miller, a left-handed batter known for his aggressive style. The skipper will be assisted by Lungi Ngidi, a promising bowler, and decent batters like Mitchell van Buuren, Jason Roy, and Eoin Morgan.
Paarl Royals are playing against the Mi Cape Town on 10 January 2023.
Durban’s Super Giants
IPL owner — Lucknow Super Giants
Home ground — Kingsmead
City — Durban

The captain of the Durban’s is Quinton de Kock, one of the most stable batsmen you can find. Other star players include Junior Dala, the 2018 South Africa cricketer of the year, and Heinrich Klassen, the team’s costliest buy (₹21.1 million). Moreover, the squad’s bowler lineup is quite good, having Keshav Maharaj, Jason Holder, and Dilshan Madushanka in it.
The Durban’s first match is against the Joburg Super Kings on 11 January 2023, which is also the season’s second game.
Joburg Super Kings
IPL owner — Chennai Super Kings
Home ground — Wanderers Stadium
City — Johannesburg
Head coach — Stephen Fleming
Donavon Ferreira is the team’s biggest buy, ₹25.8 million, but their star player is Faf du Plessis, the squad’s captain. He is also one of the leading captains in international cricket, so his hopes are high for leading his crew to victory. He’ll have help from Joburg’s two excellent batters, Romario Shepherd and Harry Brook.
The Joburg Super Kings’ christening will occur on the second day of the season, 11 January 2023, when they battle it out with the Durban’s Super Giants on their home turf.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape
IPL owner — Sunrisers Hyderabad
Home ground — St. George’s Park Cricket Ground
City — Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth)
Head coach — Adrian Birrell
The Sunrisers made the costliest buy at the SA20 League Auction — Tristan Stubbs for ₹43.3 million. They also got Marco Jansen for ₹28.7 million, the third-most-paid cricketer for the season. Other star players include Jordon Cox, Mason Crane, Adam Rossington, and Aiden Markram, a highly promising batsman.
The Sunrisers’ initial match is on their home turf on 12 January 2023. They are playing against the Pretoria Capitals.
Pretoria Capitals
IPL owner — Delhi Capitals
Home ground — Centurion Park or SuperSport Park
City — Centurion
Head coach — Graham Ford
The Pretoria Capitals made the second-costliest buy at the auction — Rilee Rossouw for ₹32.5 million. The fourth-most paid player also went to them, Wayne Parnell, after they paid ₹26.3 million for him. They’ve also signed good cricketers like Adil Rashid, Anrich Nortje, and Phil Salt.
The Capitals are set to show their worth on the third day of the season, 12 January 2023, when they play against the Sunrisers on their home field.

This includes tips on how to bet on the SA20, which betting markets to favour, and, most of all, suggestions and betting predictions for every individual match. That should prove incredibly helpful for all SA20 punters looking to up their betting game.
You also need to learn about the players on every team and rely on the odds more than usual. As all the squads and the league are brand new, you won’t have much to analyse except the cricketers and what they’ve achieved in the past, their plays, injuries, morale, and more.
Who Will Win the SA 2023 Edition?
The Durban Super Giants or the Paarl Royals are the favourites, with the odds on both sitting at 4.5. We favour the Royals more as they have a high-quality lineup of heavy hitters like Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, and David Miller.
They are followed by Pretoria Capitals and MI Cape Town, with 5.5 odds. The second-to-last is the Joburg Super Kings with odds of 6.0, while the last is the Sunrisers Eastern Cape with 8.0, despite their costly buys at the auction.
Who Will Be the Top Batsman for SA T20 2023?
It’s hard to make a prediction here, as the league is brand new. However, we do have some good contenders for this venerated title. These include Faf du Plessis, Harry Brook, Tristan Stubbs, Rilee Rossouw, and Aiden Markram.
Who Will Be the Top Bowler for SA T20 2023?
The same thing is true for bowlers and batters — it’s hard to give good predictions since the teams and the league are brand new. However, some star players are good contenders for the Top Bowler title. These include Keshav Maharaj, Jason Holder, Kagiso Rabada, Wayne Parnell, Sisanda Magala, and Lungi Ngidi.
