Washington Freedom have played with great intent this season and head into the playoffs after dominating the group stage, picking up eight wins and losing just two. With both batting and bowling clicking, they look well set to push for another title.
Mitchell Owen has done the heavy lifting with the bat, scoring 313 runs across 10 innings with a strike rate of 195.62. He’s expected to be a central figure again in the playoffs.
Andries Gous and skipper Glenn Maxwell have brought stability to the middle. Maxwell has looked in good touch and is second on their list with 237 runs in nine outings, striking at 185.
Rachin Ravindra has played a few steady knocks but could use a stronger outing at the top as the team heads into the playoffs.
The bowling side of things looks steady. Jack Edwards and Mitchell Owen have combined for 27 wickets. Ian Holland has been tidy as well with 10 wickets and an economy of 7.34. Glenn Maxwell and Saurabh Netravalkar have added 17 between them, and if Maxwell finds his rhythm with the ball again, he could make a real difference.

Texas Super Kings head into the playoffs with plenty of momentum, having picked up seven wins in the group stage while dropping three matches. With the form they’re in, they look well set for a serious push in the playoffs.
Faf du Plessis has been outstanding at the top, amassing 409 runs from nine games, averaging 51.12 with a strike rate of 175.33. His unbeaten 91 from 52 balls in the last match has only added to his momentum.
Shubham Ranjane and Donovan Ferreira have done a solid job through the middle, each scoring over 210 runs and keeping the innings moving at a steady clip.
Saiteja Mukkamalla has had a few decent moments, but he hasn’t really put together a full performance with the bat. Texas will want more from him as the pressure ramps up.
The bowling group has delivered in bursts, although keeping things consistent has been a challenge. Noor Ahmad and Adam Milne have both taken 14 wickets. Zia-ul-Haq and Nandre Burger have 13 between them, and Akeal Hosein has looked more settled with each match, which gives the side some added balance.

Batters tend to enjoy themselves at Grand Prairie Stadium thanks to the reliable bounce and a quick outfield that rewards well-timed shots. Fast bowlers may get some help with the new ball, particularly in night games, but that fades once the surface settles. For spinners, success usually comes from keeping it tight and changing things up.
The forecast in Dallas suggests a mix of sun and cloud, with a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon.

The average first-innings total at Grand Prairie Stadium is 175, and it’s usually a ground where runs come quickly. This season alone, 11 scores above 200 have been recorded in 12 matches. The biggest of them came from San Francisco Unicorns, who piled on 246 for 4 against MI New York. In this matchup, both teams will be looking at posting something between 200 and 210 to stay ahead.
Grand Prairie Stadium tends to favor the team batting first. Both captains will keep that in mind while making the call.
Texas Super Kings and Washington Freedom have been two of the most consistent sides this season. Texas already have a win over Washington, which should give them a bit of an edge in confidence going into the Qualifier. That said, Washington have shown better balance overall and seem to tick more boxes across the board. It’s a close match-up with not much between the two, but we’re giving Washington the slightest edge here. Our call is 51 to 49 in their favor.
