Boland have been in top form all season, winning six out of their seven group matches to top the group and storm into the playoffs. They will be high on confidence as they prepare for Qualifier 1 against the Warriors.
Their batting has done most of the heavy lifting this season. Lehan Botha has led the charge with 187 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 125.50. He’s played a steady hand in the middle and will be central again in the playoffs.
Skipper Clyde Fortuin has been reliable in the middle overs with 164 runs from seven games, while scoring quickly at 147. Meanwhile, Ferisco Adams and Grant Roelofsen have added more depth to the line-up, both getting past 120 runs so far this season.
Keith Dudgeon and Glenton Stuurman have been their main weapons with the ball, each taking 13 wickets. Imran Manack and Ferisco Adams have also stepped up with timely breakthroughs, taking 19 scalps combined.

The Warriors have had an excellent run so far, heading into the playoffs with five wins and just one loss in the group stage. In their most recent outing, they brushed aside Boland by 98 runs, the same team they are about to meet in Qualifier 1.
Skipper Matthew De Villiers has been their star with the bat, putting up 298 runs in six games at an average of 60 and a strike rate of 140. He has struck four fifties already, and the Warriors will want him to come through again, especially since the rest of the batting order has been inconsistent.
JP King’s performance in the middle-order – 203 runs in six matches at 167 – has added some much-needed balance to the team as they head into the playoffs.
Muhammad Manack has made useful contributions at the top, scoring 198 runs in six innings while averaging 33 and going at a strike rate of 140.42.
Their bowling has held up well, taking wickets across phases. Kerwin Mungroo has been the most reliable, going for just 6.38 per over and picking up nine wickets. He’s a solid bet to keep things tight again, likely going around seven an over in the Qualifier. Wesley Bedja and Christopher King have combined for 14 wickets, while Thomas Kaber’s wrist spin has also been beneficial to the team as he has grabbed seven wickets.

Seamers might struggle for zip early at Boland Park in Paarl since the surface tends to lack pace, and the bounce is fairly low. As the innings progresses, spin becomes more of a weapon — the deck gives bowlers grip, and spinners have bagged a substantial share of wickets here. Batters who rotate strike and build patiently tend to do well.
The weather in Paarl will be hot and warm, with no chance of rain.

Average Turn
The average score batting first at Boland Park is 158. The highest total posted at the venue this season is Boland’s 173-5 versus Western Province. We reckon anything above 160 will be competitive in this match.
Three of the four games played at Boland Park in the CSA T20 Challenge 2025 have been won by the team batting first. Given this trend, expect the team winning the toss to bat first in Qualifier 1.
Both Boland and Warriors have delivered strong performances this season and are capable of beating any team on their day. There’s not much separating the two sides, and this one could go right down to the wire. The Warriors will depend on Matthew De Villiers and JP King to fire. If they do, they will be favorites to win the first Qualifier. If not, Boland will be in a strong spot to take this match.
