Band-e-Amir Dragons Preview

With three wins and three losses, Band-e-Amir Dragons sit in fifth place going into the next round. They ended their two-match losing streak by taking down Boost Defenders by three wickets in their latest fixture. To push for a top two finish, though, they’ll need to tighten a few areas moving forward.

The batting has largely been dependent on two players - Hashmatullah Shahidi and Sediqullah Atal, both of whom have scored over 220 runs for the season and held this batting unit together.

Mohammad Shahzad, with his tons of experience, has shown that he has still got it, scoring 162 from six matches with an average of 27 and a strike rate of 136.13.

Najibullah Zadran and skipper Gulbadin Naib have also made useful contributions, showing that this team bats deep and can never truly be counted out.

Izharulhaq Naveed has been their main weapon with the ball, taking seven wickets at 9.60 in his six appearances. Gulbadin also has seven wickets to his name, although his economy rate of 10.55 has hurt the Dragons at times. In AM Ghazanfar, though, they have a top-class spinner, who can make crucial breakthroughs while also keeping the run flow in check.

Band-e-Amir Dragons Predicted Playing XI:

Sediqullah Atal, Haroon Khan, Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Mohammad Shahzad (wk), Gulbadin Naib, Rahmanullah Zarma Khan, Sediqullah Pacha, Mohammad Saleem, Lalbaz Sinzai, Izharulhaq Naveed, AM Ghazanfar

Mis Ainak Knights Preview

Mis Ainak Knights have put together a solid campaign so far, winning four and losing three. They are coming off a heavy 50-run defeat to Speen Ghar Tigers, which has affected their net run rate and made them slip from the first spot to the second. However, this was a rare slip, and the Knights have it in them to brush it off and start afresh.

Their batting has looked reliable for the most part. Khalid Taniwal has been the main man at the top, with 234 runs in seven innings, averaging 39 with a strike rate of 172.

Another batter we are backing to make an impact is Wafiullah Tarakhil, who has plundered 214 runs in seven innings at 140.78.

Sohail Khan Zurmati brings more stability to this unit with his assured batting. The middle-order batter has clocked 142 runs in six innings while striking at 124.56.

The bowlers have been the strong point of the Knights.  Mujeeb Ur Rahman continues to impress like always, taking 10 wickets in seven games while keeping his economy at 6.18. He’s their X-Factor and is always relied upon to deliver key wickets.

Farmanullah and Khalil Gurbaz are the other two wreckers in this attack, taking eight wickets apiece, and constantly asking questions of the opposition.

Mis Ainak Knights Predicted Playing XI:

Wafiullah Tarakhil, Khalid Taniwal, Afsar Zazai (wk), Sohail Khan Zurmati, Farmanullah, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Khalil Gurbaz, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (c), Mohammad Nabi, Mohibullah Hamraz, Naveed Zadran

Weather Conditions

The surface at Kabul International Cricket Stadium is usually on the dry side and gets slower as the game moves forward. Batting becomes more challenging in the second innings, so starting with the bat often pays off. Spinners usually get involved early and tend to control the tempo through the middle. Seamers can find movement upfront if they stay in the right channels, especially during bright daytime conditions.

Kabul will have hot weather with hazy sunshine lasting through the day.

BAD vs MAK Pitch Report

Teams batting first at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium have averaged 153. The biggest total this season at this venue is Boost Defenders' 212 for 5 against Band-e-Amir Dragons. With scoring generally up this season at the venue, the side setting a total will likely aim for something in the 180 to 190 range to feel confident.

Toss: To Bowl

In the Shpageeza Cricket League 2025, chasing has worked out well at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium, with five wins in the last six matches going to the side bowling first. The toss-winning skipper is expected to go with the same call.

Band-e-Amir Dragons have had the better of Mis Ainak Knights in their last two encounters, including once this season. But overall, the Knights have played better cricket, that last loss notwithstanding, and have more balance in their squad. The Dragons have shown that they can take down any team on their day, but the Knights are the safer bets for this one.

Back Mis Ainak Knights as the winners of this game.
