The Band-e Amir Stars were blown away by the Abasin Defenders, suffering a crushing 163-run defeat in the Kabul Premier League. After being asked to bowl first, the Stars’ bowling attack endured a brutal outing, conceding a massive total of 281/5 in 20 overs. 

Esmatullah Habibi was the most effective bowler, taking 2 wickets for 35 runs, while Nijat Masood, Farmanullah, and Tariq Stanikzai claimed a wicket each. However, severe expensive spells across the attack allowed the opposition to score at over 14 runs per over. 

Chasing an mammoth target of 282 runs, the Stars batting lineup collapsed instantly, falling to 21/4 within the powerplay. Azizullah Miakhil provided a dazzling bright spot with a blistering 55 off just 19 balls, and Mohammad Asif chipped in with 25.  The rest of the order folded quickly, leaving the team bowled out for 118 in 13.3 overs.

After putting on an absolute clinic in the season opener where they scored 307 runs and won the match by 116 runs against the Shamshad Eagles, the Pamir Stars couldn't carry that winning momentum as they suffered a seven-wicket defeat against the Kabul Zalmi in their last outing. 

Batting first after winning the toss, the Stars were restricted to 190/9 in 20 overs. Haroon Khan top-scored with a quick 54 off 41 balls, supported by captain Asghar Atal’s 47 and Atta Mohammad Zarmal’s fiery late cameo of 47 off 22 balls.  However, four costly run-outs severely derailed their middle order. 

Defending 191, the Pamir Stars’ bowling unit had no answer to the opposition's explosive chase. Said Khan was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 29 runs, while Ahmadullah claimed 1 wicket. The remaining bowlers proved very expensive as Kabul Zalmi comfortably hunted down the target in 16.3 overs.
