Central Delhi Kings head into this contest on the back off a dominant six wicket win over the East Delhi Riders in Qualifier 1 in what was a pretty one sided contest in favour of the Kings.
The Kings won the toss and choose to bowl first, their bowlers stepped up in a rain curtailed clash which was reduced to 15 overs per side cleaning up East Delhi Riders for just 90 runs in 14.5 overs. Simarjeet Singh was the stand out performer with the ball with figures of 5/23, he was well supported by Money Grewal (2/7) and Gavinsh Khurana (2/30).
Then in the run-chase the Kings lost three quick wickets and were reduced to 24/3 in 4.2 overs. Their skipper Jonty Sandhu (26 runs in 15 balls) and Aditya Bhandari (33* runs in 19 balls) rescued their team with a 53 runs partnership. The Kings chased down the target in 11.3 overs to seal their spot in the final. The momentum is on their side and with their bowlers in good form, the Kings will look to have a real crack at the title.

West Delhi Lions had a tougher route to the final but they made it in an emphatic fashion. First they chased down 202 runs in 17.1 overs on the back of bludgeoning knock from Nitish Rana (134* runs in 55 balls) against the South Delhi Superstarz.
In the qualifier 2, the Lions had a much easier game where they restricted the East Delhi Riders to 139/8 bowling first, Manan Bharadwaj was the stand out with figures 3/22, Tishanth Dabla coming in as an impact bowler picked up two wickets and was well supported by Anirudh Chowdhury who picked up two wickets.

The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has favoured the batters over the course of the Delhi Premier League where the average 1st innings score is around 180 runs. The conditions are going to damp which further aids the batters and the bowlers might find it hard to grip. A score of around 200 will be par for the team batting first.
Teams bowling first won four of the last five matches played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The surface has played on better understanding lights in later stages off the game and we predict the team that wins the toss will opt to bowl first.
The odds are in favour of the Central Delhi Kings to win this fixture. But the West Delhi Lions have all the momentum on their side especially with their batting unit firing on all cylinders and their bowlers also coming good. We are backing the West Delhi Lions to win this fixture and lift the Delhi Premier league 2025 trophy.
