Minister Group Dhaka to win
Tournament: Bangladesh Premier League 2022 | Format: T20 | Venue: Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowIt is the 4th game in the Bangladesh Premier League 2022 and Chattogram Challengers would be taking on the Minister Group Dhaka in the first game at Dhaka. Both sides would be under pressure in this game. The Challengers lost against the Fortune Barishal in the last game while Minister Group Dhaka went down against the Khulna Tigers.
Chattogram Challengers would be especially worried about the form of their batsmen after the disastrous show in the last game. They will have to come out of that shock defeat to do well here. Minister Group Dhaka has one of the strongest squads and it remains to be seen how they fare here.
Mehidy Hasan’s side had a meltdown in the last game. It was a poor show from their batsmen in the last game against Fortune Barishal where they folded for 125 runs to lose the game by 4 wickets. They will have to make a strong comeback from here and Hasan would like to see his top order to deliver the goods in this game.
Kennar Lewis and Will Jacks would have to play an important role opening the batting for the side in this game. In the middle order, the side would expect runs from the bats of Sabbir Rahman, Hasa, and Afif Hossain all of whom got out for single-digit scores. Naeem Islam, Benny Howell, and Shamim Hossain would have an important role down the order.
Mehidy Hasan bowled well for his four wickets in the last game and he would aim to trouble the Dhaka batsmen sharing the new ball with Nasum Ahmed. Howell and Mukidul Islam will need to check their line as they failed to contain the batsmen in the last game. Shoriful Islam and Jacks add to the bowling options for the side.

Mahmudullah would be terribly upset with his bowlers as they went down in the first game against the Khulna Tigers by 5 wickets. It was a poor show from their bowling attack as the side failed to defend 183 runs on the board. Mahmudullah would like his side to bounce back in the next game and he would count his chances as the Challengers also come here with a big loss.
Batting looks good with Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Shahzad having shown good form in the last game and the same would be expected from them here. The middle-order is power-packed with Mohammad Naim, Mahmudullah, and Andre Russell on the side. They would also expect to see big hits from Shuvagata Hom, Jaharul Islam, and Isuru Udana.
Arafat Sunny and Shuvagata Hom did well with the new ball but the rest of the attack was torn apart in the last game. The side would expect to see better spells from Rubel Hossain, Ebadot Hossain, and Udana in the middle overs as they leaked runs. Russell would need to bring his experience to play in this game.

There would be odd clouds over Dhaka on January 22. The wicket shall be flat but there is slowness on the surface. Batsmen would have to be watchful and watch out for the ball that stops on them. The side batting first in this game would need 170 runs on the board to defend it under poor bowling conditions.
The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium is flat and batsmen also love the fast outfield that allows them to score runs easily. Fast bowlers have traditionally struggled at this venue as there is little for them on the surface. Spinners enjoy bowling here as there is turn on the surface.
It is an evening game and bowlers are likely to struggle with the dew factor in the 2nd innings. We saw a glimpse of this on the first day. The side winning the toss would look to bowl first and take advantage of the dry surface.
Chattogram Challengers would be under pressure. Their batsmen put up a poor show in the last game failing to execute the game plans. They will have to regroup and come up with a better show with the bat. Minister Group Dhaka have their batsmen in good form and the side would start nose ahead of the Challengers in this game.
