Getting cricket out of the typical cities in Australia - Adelaide, Melbourne, Queensland, Sydney, Perth and Tasmania - has long been a problem but things have started to change following the introduction of the Top End T20 Series in the Northern Territories from 2022 onwards.
As often happens with new routes and journeys, unexpected new passengers come along for the ride and it has been brilliant to see the impact of Chicago Kingsmen in this year's tournament as the American influence on cricket grows!
There has even been international cricket in Cairns this year which shows that this tournament is making a difference and bringing cricket to new audiences in Australia.
The standard has been excellent and we expect this contest on Tuesday to be another classic fixture.

Hammad Azzam's side made it two wins from two when they got the better of the Adelaide Strikers Academy on Sunday in a low-scoring but ultimately exciting clash.
Milind Kumar took the Player of the Match award following an excellent all-round display which saw him hit 27 runs from 25 balls and return figures of 2/10 with the ball.
Another two-dimensional performance like that will go a long way to securing another victory for the Kingsmen.
The powerhouse middle order of Kumar. Tajinder Singh and Hassan Khan hit all five of the sixes for the side on Sunday and we can expect any aggression to come from them as well.
With the ball, there is plenty of variety in the squad with Scott Kuggeleijn, Ghulam Mudassar and Kumar all coming into this game following two wickets each in the last fixture.

Pakistan Shaheens got off to a brilliant start in this season's Top End T20 Series with a convincing 79 run victory over Bangladesh A but they then came unstuck against the Perth Scorchers Academy in match eight who just got over the line by two wickets with 11 balls remaining.
However, IIrfar Khan's team will be targeting a second win in a row and a third victory of the campaign when they come up against the Chicago Kingsmen following another large success, this time over the Melbourne Renegades Academy by 73 runs on Monday.
Coming into this match with bags of confidence will be Abdul Samad who showed the openers how to bat from number three. Both Yasir Khan and Khawaja Nafay made ducks before Samad struck 110 not out from 63 balls in a faultless and entertaining showing.
With the ball, Maaz Sadaqat took 3/22 on Monday while 20 year old leg-break bowling all-rounder has proved to be a consistent and threatening presence throughout the tournament.

Although it will be partly cloudy by mid-afternoon when this game gets underway, we can expect both teams to get hot under the collar with the temperature starting in the low thirties and dropping no lower than the mid-twenties by the end.
The Marrara Cricket Ground No 2 in Darwin will certainly offer some turn for the spinners, even at this early stage of the season. Expect a par total to be no higher than 165.
The last two games in the Top End T20 Series 2025 have both been won by the team batting first so we predict that the skippers for both sides will be looking to bat first in this clash.
This looks like being one of the best games of the tournament so far, which is saying something as there has been no shortage of top entertainment across the opening 16 fixtures!
When the Shaheens have been good, they have been very good, but the Kingsmen look to have the all-round ability to win this one. We are predicting a third victory in a row for the Americans.
We are backing Chicago Kingsmen to win!
