But the side struggled to victory with their batsmen nearly making a mess of the chase. Kayes would be aware of the strength Barishal have with the ball and expect a better show from his batsmen in this game. 

Faf du Plessis and Cameron Delport need to provide the side with a steady start given their poor show in the last game. In the middle order Mominul Haque, Kayes, and Nahidul Islam would have to work towards building partnerships. The side would also expect a good show from the likes of Karim Janat, Mahidul Islam Ankon, and Ariful Haque down the order. 

It was brilliant efforts by their bowlers in the last game that set up a win and the side would need similar spells with the new ball from Nahidul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman. Shakib Al Hasan’s side went down by 4 wickets in their last game against Minister Group Dhaka. Their batsmen failed to build partnerships and accelerate the score leading to their downfall. Shakib would like to see better efforts from his batsmen as in both games their players have failed to convert starts. The Victorians have a good bowling attack and Barishal batsmen must be on their toes. 

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shykat Ali must provide a healthy start to the side in this game which hasn’t been the case so far. The middle order is strong with Chris Gayle and Shakib adding to the firepower for the side. Fast bowlers have struggled as there hasn’t been much for them on this surface. The side batting first in this game would need 170 runs or more on the board to defend it successfully.

Venue Details

The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium is good for batting and we have seen big scores from batsmen once they have got their eyes set in. It isn’t the best venue for the fast bowlers. Spinners have enjoyed great success at this venue and the dry surface offers them good assistance.
