Bet NowChennai Super Kings seems to be spoiling the party for the other sides and hurt their prospects of qualifying for the playoffs. As they take on the Kings XI Punjab in the next game it would be must win contest for Kings XI to earn a berth in the playoffs. They lost the last game against Rajasthan Royals which has put the side into a tight spot. Chennai comes into this contest after an impressive show in the last game against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Kings XI Punjab has been in great form in the second half of the league stage. They have won the last five out of six games and shall be looking to carry that confidence into this game. Chennai on the other hand is already out of the tournament and shall be looking to end its campaign on a high. They had defeated Kings XI earlier in the season and shall be looking to repeat that show.
MS Dhoni’s side seems to have stuck form after their fate has already been sealed with no hopes of making it to the playoffs. The side has now registered back to back wins. They defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets in the last game which has complicated KKR’s prospects for the next round and shall aim to do something similar to the Kings XI in the next game.
Rituraj Gaikwad has done well in the last couple of game and he would look to provide a good start alongside Faf du Plessis who has been CSK’s most consistent batsman. Ambati Rayudu, Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja have played well in the last few games but the side would be hoping for a final hurray from MS Dhoni in the last game of season. The CSK skipper has had quite a forgetful season with the bat.
Sam Curran and Deepak Chahar would look to strike early with the new ball which they failed to do in the last game. Kings XI has a very strong top order and the new ball pair has to do well. Lungi Ngidi did well in the last game and along with Jadeja and Karn Sharma shall look to keep the batsmen quite during the middle overs. With the experience of Imran Tahir their bowling attack finally looks good.

The juggernaut for Lokesh Rahul’s side halted against the Rajasthan Royals as they side lost after five consecutive games. The same old story of poor bowling came to haunt the side as they failed to defend a score of 185 runs. With their qualification for the playoffs depending on the result of the game against CSK, Rahul would be looking for a better show from his bowlers.
Rahul is the leading run getter this season and he will look to provide a good start alongside Mandeep Singh. Chris Gayle has been brilliant so far and he will look to continue from where he left in the last game. Nicholas Pooran has been playing well but the side would need Glenn Maxwell to strike form in what has been a poor season for him. Chris Jordan and Deepak Hooda have the striking abilities and shall look to do well in the final overs.
Bowling has been the problem area for the side this season and they will expect a better start in this game from Mohammad Shami and Arshdeep Singh. Ravi Bishnoi was the sole performer with the ball in the last game and the side would have great expectations from him in the game. Murugan Ashwin and Chris Jordan would have to play good supporting act in this game.

The weather conditions would be perfect at Abu Dhabi on November 01 with the skies being clear. There is hardly anything in there for the bowlers on this surface as the ball is coming onto the bat nicely. The side batting first in this afternoon game would have to keep a target of 180 runs in mind to safely defend it.
Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi’s pitch has allowed the batsmen to play their natural game with true pace on the surface. The large size of the ground also does offer opportunities for catches in the outfield. Fast bowlers who vary their pace have done well at this venue and the spinners have also got sharp turn and bounce from the surface occasionally.
In the last three games we have seen the side bowling first win all the games. The pitch is good to bat on right through the game and setting a target here has become a huge challenge for the sides. The side that wins the toss would like to take advantage of the conditions and opt to bowl first in this game.
Chennai Super Kings have surprised everyone with back to back wins but it has come little too late. There are still several problems for the side with the biggest of all being the form of their batsmen who have been inconsistent. Kings XI Punjab has a batting line-up in great form at the moment which has been winning games for them. This would offer them slight edge as the side goes into this game.
