Man of the Match: Mohammad Saifuddin
Comilla Victorians to win the Match
Our Prediction is for Comilla Victorians to win the match!
Dhaka Dynamites have lot in stake as they take on Comilla Victorians in the 39th game BPL 2019. The team goes into this game with four consecutive losses and a playoff berth which looked almost certain a week ago suddenly seems miles way.
For Comilla Victorians it would be another opportunity to show their talent like they have shown with three consecutive wins and almost assured of a place in the playoffs. Comilla Victorians had won a close game against Dhaka Dynamites earlier in the season by 7 runs. It remains to be seen if they defeat them once again or the Dynamites register a win and avenge that defeat.
With their last defeat against Chittagong Vikings the Dhaka Dynamites find themselves in a spot of bother having lost their last four games. They have to win the next one versus Victorians to stay alive in the league.
The Dynamites batted well in the last even though they fell short by 11 runs which was due to the failure of their top order with Mizanur Rahman, Sunil Narine and Rony Talukdar falling cheaply. Shakib Al Hasan, Nurul Hasan and Andre Russell played well. With Kieron Pollard in the side they have a good batting line-up and they will need to fire in the upcoming game.
Their bowlers have been letting the side down too frequently as they did in the last game. Sunil Narine was the only bowler who checked the flow of runs. Andrew Birch, Rubel Hossain and Shakib all went for runs and they would need to check that in the upcoming game against Victorians who have strong batting line-up.
Sunil Narine, Rony Talukdar, Mizanur Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mahmudul Hasan, Shuvagata Hom, Andrew Birch, Rubel Hossain.

Comilla Victorians are comfortably sitting at the 2nd position in the points table and won the last game against Chittagong Vikings. That makes three in a row and the team is riding on strong momentum.
The batting looks extremely strong with Tamim Iqbal in good form and played that superb knock in the last game. Amanul Haque has also been in good form. With Shamsur Rahman and Imrul Kayes in the side followed by Thisara Perera, Shahid Afrid and the hard hitting Evin Lewis who has already scored a hundred this season that have a great batting line-up going into this match
The team has been riding on the strength of its bowling which showed just how good they are in the last game. Mohammad Saifuddin, Wahab Riaz and Shahid Afridi bowled brilliantly and checked the flow of runs in the last game. Thisara Perera and Abu Hider Rony add variety to their bowling attack and they would look to perform well in the next game.

The weather is expected to be warm with maximum temperature of 28° centigrade on February 01 at Dhaka. The pitch is expected to assist the fast bowlers a bit in the initial few overs given the number of days no cricket has been played on the surface. By and large run scoring should be easy and spinners are likely to come into play only in the 2nd innings of the game.
Shere Bangla National Stadium is a paradise for the batsmen with shorter square boundaries and batsmen relish batting on this surface. It has seen several high scoring games this season. The fast bowlers too get decent bargain from the pitch in the initial overs and spinners who are willing to toss the ball up do well here.
It is an afternoon game and hence toss isn’t expected to play a deciding role unlike evening games where bowling second becomes a disadvantage with the dew. However we have seen the sides prefer to bowl and chase totals in this ground. There is some juice in the wicket in the initial few overs and the fast bowlers can exploit that. The side winning the toss might have a bowl here.
Dhaka Dynamites have hit a rough patch and seem to have no clue to come out of it. They have lost their last four games which was least expected from a side that has such good talent. Comilla Victorians come into this game after three straight wins and they are a confident unit at the moment. Going by common logic punters should have their money on Comilla Victorians to win the upcoming game.
