The 2025/26 Senior Women's Inter Zonal T20 Trophy continues to deliver some excellent entertainment even at this early stage of the season and although some of the contests have been one-sided, it is still a product well worth following!
After the first two round of fixtures, Western Zone Women and North Zone Women occupy the top two places and are the only two sides who are yet to be beaten in this campaign.
As for North East Women, the opposite is true for them, marooned at the bottom of the table without a victory!
Whoever wins this game, could be at the top of the table for a period on Saturday.

East Zone Women were involved in a shortened game against North East Zone Women in their last match but although only ten overs were bowled, managed to romp home with a nine wicket win with 24 balls remaining.
Crucial to their success in the last match was the batting from opener Ashwani Kumari who bludgeoned three fours and four sixes in her brilliant and unbeaten 36 from 11 balls.
Tanusree Sarkar also finished unbeaten but was left just watching on, such was the power and timing of Kumari!
With the ball, East Zone Women have Sushree Dibyadarshini who many batters have struggled against in this tournament and she is likely to carry a large threat once again in this fixture.

North Zone Women may have lost the toss in their last game against South Zone Women but they did very little else wrong as they thrashed their opponents by a whopping 96 runs on Tuesday!
Expect opener Deeya Yadav to lead the way once again in this game after she smashed 12x fours of her own on her way to a brilliant 67 runs from 47 balls in that game.
Skipper Taniya Bhatia is another aggressive batter in the side although she will bat in the middle order.
With the ball, South Zone Women found the whole attack hard to handle and that may well be the same again in this match!
Expect Amandeep Kaur to be the most consistent and threatening bowler.
Deeya Yadav, Bawandeep Kaur, Shweta Sehrawat, Taniya Bhatia (c) (wk), Ayushi Soni, Nazma Khan, Shivani Singh, Bharti Rawal, Amandeep Kaur, Mannat Kashyap, Komalpreet Kour

The weather forecast for Nagaland is for clear and sunny conditions across Saturday for this fixture. The temperature will not be over-bearing though and will touch 18 degrees but no higher.
The Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium can sometimes offer a dry pitch where the ball turns while keeping low. If that is the case again then expect a par score to be no higher than 155.
Both teams have plenty of attacking batting talent so we predict that the two captains will go out for the toss planning to bat first should they call correctly.
