FG vs PSTR Pitch Report

The surface at Sulaibiya Cricket Ground is a batting-friendly wicket that offers plenty of assistance to the batters. In the opening game, a target of 208 was almost chased down, highlighting the scoring potential on this ground. In the last five T20s here, the average first-innings score has been 177, further underlining the favourable batting conditions.

All eight recorded group-stage games saw the team batting first post more than 150 runs, while six of those eight totals crossed 165. Batters are likely to enjoy the conditions, but they will need to combine aggressive intent with sensible shot selection. A total in the 180-plus range could provide a strong platform in this fixture.

Score prediction:

If Pearl Strikers bat first - 160-170 runs

If Guardians at first - 170-180 runs

Toss: To Bowl

In the last five T20s on this surface, chasing sides have won just once. The first two matches of the tournament also saw chasing teams fall short by narrow margins. Despite the recent trend, chasing remains a viable option after winning the toss, as batting conditions tend to be slightly easier in the second innings. Both teams have previously enjoyed success while bowling first and are likely to prefer the same approach again.

Toss Prediction: Pearl Strikers to win the coin toss.

Failaika Guardians enter this contest on the back of a strong run and will look to maintain their momentum. They dropped just one game during the group stage last season and have continued to show their consistency this campaign. A strong performance here would put them in a good position to secure their place in the final. However, this is a crucial fixture for both teams, with each side looking to build winning momentum and strengthen its position in the tournament.

Failaika Guardians to win.
