Batting first, they managed 131, with Aravind Mohan top-scoring with 57 off 46 balls, before Spain chased down the target comfortably.

Finland also played several matches at home as part of their preparations for the ICC event. They lost a one-off T20I against Germany after being bowled out for 89 while chasing 138, and subsequently suffered a 2-0 series defeat against Portugal. They also fell short in the Viking Cup final against Sweden, posting 116 before Sweden chased down the target in just 11.1 overs.

Despite those setbacks, Finland have several players capable of making a significant impact. Vanraaj Padhaal is one to watch, having scored 560 runs for Finland, including a match-winning 84 in the Viking Cup. His ability to score quickly and anchor the innings makes him a key part of Finland's batting line-up.

Amjad Sher is another important player. He claimed seven wickets in the Viking Cup at an impressive economy rate of 4.00. With 57 wickets, he is Finland's leading wicket-taker in the format and will be central to their bowling plans.

Earlier in the tournament, the Isle of Man recorded a convincing eight-wicket victory over Luxembourg, bowling them out for 116 before completing the chase in 17 overs. With one win and one defeat from their opening two games, they will be eager to return to winning ways against Bulgaria.

The Isle of Man will also be looking for greater consistency in the T20 format. They recently suffered a series defeat against Guernsey, losing two of the three matches, while the final game was washed out. They also endured a 2-0 defeat against Sweden in their previous bilateral series and managed only two wins from five matches during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifiers in 2024.

Adam McAuley is one of the key players to watch. He has accumulated 406 runs in 23 T20 innings and will be expected to provide stability at the top of the order. Carl Hartmann is another experienced contributor, having scored 327 runs for the Isle of Man.
