Gulf Giants suffered a 86-run loss to Sharjah Warriors in the semifinals. The opposition posted 197 runs and Gulf were bowled out for 111 runs. Gulf also had a poor campaign in the main event where they secured only three wins out of ten games. In a similar fashion, they won three out of the first four matches and then lost six straight contests. 

Gulf Giants Development retained a couple of in-form players for the current edition. Haider Razzaq could be a player to watch out for. He was the leading wicket-taker in last year’s edition with 16 wickets in seven matches. Aayan Afzal Khan also brings experience with 24 wickets in 35 matches. The Capitals, who qualified for the playoffs last season, will be gearing up for the Development Tournament. Dubai lost to Abu Dhabi in the eliminator game. Meanwhile, they had a different story in the ILT20 Development Tournament last year where they finished bottom. 

Dubai Capitals secured only one win out of five matches in the last edition. Surprisingly, their only win came against the Gulf Giants, who will meet them in the opening day clash of the ILT20 Development Tournament. They secured a five-run victory against the Giants. The Capitals would eye a winning momentum this year. Last year, they lost the opening game by one wicket. 

Dubai Capitals Development will expect fire from Haider Ali and Muhammad Jawadullah. These two stars played for the Capitals in ILT20 Season 4. Akshdeep Nath could be a player to watch out for. He made his UAE debut earlier this year. The 33-year-old played good cameos in CWC Challenge League and also picked up wickets in the middle overs. 

Raees Ahmed was the third-highest run-scorer in the previous edition of the ILT20 Development Tournament with 227 runs. He played last season for Sharjah Warriors Development and helped them to win the trophy.
