The top two teams, and the two who gained promotion, from last season's County Championship division one, meet at Sophia Gardens as Glamorgan host Leicestershire in the third game of the season for both sides.
Glamorgan returned to the top flight by welcoming Yorkshire to south Wales and escaped from that game with a draw before their first away match at the top level in 20 years ended in a heavy 192 run defeat in Nottingham.
As for Leicestershire, they were given a rude awakening on their return to division one with a 222 run defeat against Leicestershire before they impressed at times, particularly with the bat, against Surrey in a draw in round two.
This is division one County Cricket and both sides will be desperate to get their first win of the campaign.

Glamorgan got off to an excellent start in their game at Trent Bridge in the last round, restricting hosts Nottinghamshire to 103/6 but a fightback ensued and the hosts posted 279. Glamorgan were then able to post only 113 and on a pitch which was not too bad for batting, were then playing catch-up and ultimately defeated.
The new ball bowling pair of Timm van der Gugten and Ryan Hadley will be dangerous on will fancy their chances of getting stuck into Leicesterhire's top order in a similar way to they did against Notts.
With the bat, Asa Tribe struggled in his first three innings of the season but was back at his imposing best with 85 in the second innings at Trent Bridge while captain Kiran Carlson and Colin Ingram both need runs to kick start their campaigns.

After enjoying the flat batting wicket in South London at the Oval last week, this is likely to be a tougher place to bat in South Wales but there will be plenty of confidence in the Leicestershire batting line-up.
Rishi Patel hit a first innings 164 against Surrey while Australia Jake Weatherald has made an immediate mark on County Cricket with scores of 83 and 96 already. Ben Cox has hit over 260 runs in the season so far and the experienced Stephen Eskinazi has already posted a fifty and a century.
With the ball, the bowlers can expect more assistance in Cardiff than in London where the likes of Ian Holland and Josh Hull struck early but then went for runs.
This is a strong Leicestershire side and they will be keen to get a victory on this trip to Wales!

Sophia Gardens tends to produce a pitch which offers something for both the batters and bowlers. A par first innings total will be in the region of 330-350 in this match.
With sunny conditions forecast across the first two days of the game, we predict that both captains will go out for the toss and choose to bat first if they call correctly.
