Himachal Pradesh suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Chhattisgarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, losing by three wickets with just two balls remaining despite posting a formidable total of 320/8.
Batting first, Himachal were powered by a spectacular century from Pukhraj Mann, who smashed 134 off 121 balls, and a solid 95 from opener Innesh Mahajan. Their massive partnership anchored the innings after early wickets, allowing the team to set a challenging target.
However, the bowling unit struggled to contain the chase. While Vaibhav Arora (2/70) and Rohit Kumar (2/79) picked up crucial wickets, they proved expensive. Chhattisgarh’s Aayush Pandey (78) and a blistering 72 off 52 balls by captain Amandeep Khare kept the pressure on. Despite a late fightback taking the game to the final over, Himachal could not defend the total in Jaipur.

Mumbai suffered a massive 128-run defeat against Maharashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after a dismal performance with both bat and ball. Their bowling unit struggled to find rhythm, conceding a mammoth 366/4.
While captain Shardul Thakur bowled economically, Tushar Deshpande and Sylvester D’Souza were expensive, failing to stop Arshin Kulkarni’s century and a late blitz by Ramakrishna Ghosh.
The chase began disastrously as openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Musheer Khan fell cheaply, reducing Mumbai to 4/2 inside three overs.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi provided the only real resistance with a fighting 92, supported briefly by Siddhesh Lad (52), but the middle order collapsed under scoreboard pressure. Mumbai were eventually bundled out for 238 in 42 overs, never looking likely to chase down the massive total.

Jaipur will experience pleasant weather on Tuesday with bright sunny skies and a temperature around 19°C. It will remain dry with 0% precipitation, while moderate humidity of 55% and a light 6 km/h breeze ensure comfortable conditions.
The pitch at Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground offers a balanced track that favours both the batters and bowlers. The average 1st innings score in the last five matches is around 240-250 runs. Expect a balanced contest, where a score of around 265-270 could be challenging.
Teams bowling first won three of the five matches played at Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground, the surface has favoured the bowlers and it gets better for batting as the game progresses, so we predict the team that wins the toss will opt to bowl first.
