Wafiullah Tarakhil was the leading run-scorer in the 2025 season with 298 runs in 9 matches, and alongside him, Khalid Taniwal scored 279 runs in 9 matches, averaging 34.87. All three of these batters can strike at well over 150 and are vital for the Knights to post a huge total on the board at the top.

Nasir Jamal, Mohammad Nabi, and Farmanullah form the core of the middle order. All three are dangerous batters who can score quick runs when needed and are also handy with the ball, providing great balance to the team.

Being led by Rashid Khan, who is available for the entirety of this season, is a huge boost for the Tigers. In the batting department, the Speen Ghar Tigers will rely on Ijaz Ahmadzai, who scored 199 runs at an average of 33.16 last season. 

Rahmat Shah contributed 205 runs, while Darwish Rasooli added 216 runs. Hazratullah Zazai provided explosive starts with 170 runs at a strike rate of 175.25, including two half-centuries. These four batters are going to be the core of the Tigers' batting lineup alongside Ikram Alikhil and Rashid Khan. 

Meanwhile, another batter at the top who had a tough time last season, Zubaid Akbari—who managed to score only 133 runs in 8 matches—is coming off the back of a really good domestic season this time around.

In the bowling department, the Speen Ghar Tigers boast a strong attack led by Zahir Khan, who claimed 10 wickets last season. Zubaid Akbari impressed with eight wickets, while Fareed Ahmad Malik added seven scalps. 

Captain Rashid Khan picked up five wickets in just four matches, and Ismat Alam chipped in with five wickets. Therefore, a lot will rely on how these bowlers fare. They are a bit on the shorter side when it comes to bowling depth, so their chances of winning will depend mainly on their batting lineup.

The pitch at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Ground in Khost is expected to offer a fairly balanced track that slightly favors the batters. As this is the first match day of the tournament, the surface will be hard given the hot and humid conditions in the Khost region.
