Madurai Panthers started the season on a good note with an easy win by 9 wickets in their first match. But, they lost their next two matches and now are in a spot of bother. Skipper Shijit Chandan played a lone battle in the last match with his knock of 39 runs. Abhishek Tanwar and Jagadeesan Koushik played little cameos to rebuild their innings with a partnership but were not fruitful. They succumbed to low totals in their last two outings.
Their bowling unit was not able to create any pressure in the chase with a low target of 140 runs. Jagadeesan Koushik and Kiran Akash bowled some good overs in the middle but got no support from the other bowlers. Their batting unit needs to give more runs for their bowlers to have a contest in the match. Madurai panthers miss the services of their star all-rounder Varun Chakravarthy due to injury concerns this season.
Ruby Trichy Warriors is the only team yet to score a point in the table after 3 matches. They failed to chase down the target for the third consecutive time in the last match. No batsmen have touched 30-run mark in their team except the Murali Vijay. Aditya Barooh, Aditya Ganesh, and S Aravind had started with 20+ scores but did not continue to make it count with a big score.
Their batting unit needs to score more runs consistently. L Vignesh and M Poiyamozhi bowled well troubling the batsmen consistently and not giving away any easy runs. Saravan Kumar and Kannan Vignesh are taking wickets but are leaking runs at a high economy rate. Skipper Sai Kishore is having a quiet season so far with no impactful performance. Their bowling unit has given away 160+ score twice in three matches played till now.
Shijit Chandan – S Chandan has taken over the captaincy from Arun Karthik to reduce his workload. Chandan cannot allow his team to slip further as each loss will reduce their qualification chances.
J Koushik – Jagadeeasn Koushik had a good all-round performance last match with 22 runs and a bowling spell of 4-0-19-1. His team will need more such performances and he needs to add value with both bat and ball.
Arun Karthik – 90 runs, Strike rate -134, HS-65*
K Akash – 6 wickets, Economy – 6.1 RPO, BB -3/16

Dindigul pitch is a batting paradise and we can expect high scores in the range of 170-180 runs here. The boundaries are very small and the outfield is fast will further favor the batsmen. Last match, 300+ runs, and 30 sixes were scored in just 26 overs. The weather looks clear and dry on the match day.
Teams batting first have won 4 out of 6 matches played here so far. The batting becomes under lights but teams must put a good score on board in the first essay.
