The Sultans come here with an important win against the Karachi Kings and this has kept their hopes alive for the playoffs. The Peshawar Zalmi on the other hand registered a big win against the Quetta Gladiators in the last game. 

The two sides have shared good rivalry in the past and this would make this game all the more interesting. The batting show from the Peshawar Zalmi in the last game would have given the side lot of confidence. Mohammad Rizwan’s side made a good start to the tournament in UAE. They hadn’t done well back in Pakistan but the skipper would be happy with the 12-run win against the Karachi Kings as this has surely restored their confidence.  Rizwan would be aware of the strength his opponents have and shall be looking for a good effort from his players to win this game.  

The side would need good start in this game from Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rizwan. In the middle order they have Shan Masood and Rilee Rossouw coming here with runs in the last game and this would give them confidence. The side bats deep with Shimron Hetmyer, Khushdil Shah and Sohail Tanvir to follow and all of them have their range of strokes. 

Sohail Khan and Sohail Tanvir did well in the last game with the new ball bowling tight spells and the same would be expected here. In Imran Tahir they have a champion bowler for the middle overs. Imran Khan would be confident after his good show in the last game but the side would need a good show from their fifth bowler in this game.

Wahab Riaz would be happy with the way his side made a comeback in the last game against the Quetta Gladiators winning it by 61 runs. His batsmen did well in the last game and so did the bowlers. Wahab would be eager for a win in this game as this would give them an entry into the playoffs. 

Kamran Akmal played well in the last game and shall look to provide a good start with Haider Ali. In David Miller and Rovman Powell they have two batsmen in good form in the middle order. The side would like to see suns from Shoaib Malik in this game. Down the order Sherfane Rutherford and Fabian Allen have good hitting abilities.

The skies would be clear over Abu Dhabi on June 13 and we expect a good game of cricket. There is slowness on the surface and batsmen have to play the ball hard. However, the fast outfield is resulting in big scores and the side batting first would need a score in excess of 170 runs to feel comfortable here.

Venue Details

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi is a large venue that has a very fast outfield. The track can be a tricky one for the batsmen as the ball doesn’t always come on to the bat nicely. There isn’t much in here for the fast bowlers but spinners are able to extra good turn from the surface and have done well.

Toss: To Bowl

We have seen a mix of high scoring and low scoring games here so far and setting a target here is a challenge. The track doesn’t change much of character throughout the game and this is something that would affect the toss and the side winning it is likely to bowl first.
