Mysore Warriors Preview

The Mysore Warriors had a dreadful start to their season, losing their first match by a massive margin of 90 runs against the Shivamogga Yodhas. Bowling first, the Warriors conceded 190/8. Their bowlers were put on the back foot from the very start by the Yodhas, who plundered 76 runs in the powerplay.

However, the Warriors managed to drag the run-rate down a bit during the middle overs. Manoj Bhandage was the pick of the bowlers with excellent figures of 3/16, while skipper Vijaykumar Vyshak picked up two wickets while going at just under 10 runs per over. Lavish Kaushal, Monish Reddy, and Madhav Bajaj also chipped in with one wicket apiece.

Chasing 191 runs for victory, the Warriors' innings started poorly as they lost the wicket of LR Chetan in the first over. From there on, it was a complete batting collapse; the Warriors' batters failed to stitch together any partnerships or get a foothold in the run-chase.

Only three batters managed to score in double digits, with Ritesh Bhakal top-scoring with just 17 runs. It was a really tough outing for them, and they will look to bounce back in their upcoming fixture against the Hubli Tigers.

Devdutt Padikkal did not play in the last match, but he is expected to return to the playing XI for this fixture, which will provide a massive boost to the Warriors' top order.

Mysore Warriors Predicted Playing XI:

LR Chetan, SU Karthik, Devdutt Padikkal, Yuvraj Arora (wk), KP Kartikeya, Madhav Bajaj, Sagar Gowtham, Ritesh Bhatkal, Manoj Bhandage, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Lavish Kaushal

Hubli Tigers Preview

Hubli Tigers enter this contest on the back off an abandoned match against the Coastal Kings Mangaluru, as a result they get one point from that fixture and are off the mark on the points table.

The Tigers were the runners up last season where they lost the finals by 14 runs via the VJD method after scoring 154 runs batting first—which didn't prove to be enough runs on the board. This time around, they have let go of their skipper Devdutt Padikkal, who was their talisman last season. Additionally, Yash Raj Punja, who was their top bowler last season, is also no longer a part of the side.

Mayank Agarwal has been signed as their new skipper for this season. He scored 188 runs in 11 matches last season during an average individual year, but as a leader, he was exceptional, taking his former side into Qualifier 2. Mohammed Taha, who was the team's second-highest run-scorer with 342 runs in 12 matches—where he smashed two centuries—is going to be a key batter at the top of the order.

In the middle order, the big-hitting Abhinav Manohar, who has hit the most sixes in the tournament's history and is just 16 short of 100 sixes, will look to start his season with a bang. Aneeshwar Gautam, Shikhar Shetty, and Hardik Raj are the three key all-rounders for the Tigers. Hardik Raj, with his left-arm spin, is going to be a key spinner during the middle overs.

In the bowling department, Kumar LR, who picked up 5 wickets in 8 matches last season, provides stability with the ball as the second seamer. Manvanth Kumar L, Aditya Goyal, and Kruthik Krishna are the other crucial bowling options for the Tigers.

Hubli Tigers Predicted Playing XI:

Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Shetty, Manvanth Kumar L, Kumar L R, Mohammed Taha, Aneeshwar Gautam, Hardik Raj, Shivkumar Rakshith, Abhinav Manohar, Vikas Gowda, Vaibhav Sharma A

Hubli Tigers Actual Playing XI:

Mayank Agarwal, Shikhar Shetty, Manvanth Kumar L, Kumar L R, Mohammed Taha, Aneeshwar Gautam, Hardik Raj, Shivkumar Rakshith, Abhinav Manohar, Preetesh Ingle, Vikas Gowda, Vaibhav Sharma A

Weather Conditions

It is mostly cloudy in Mysore on Monday, with a temperature of 29°C. There is a 28% chance of precipitation and humidity sits at 60%. A moderate breeze of 16 km/h is blowing, making for a warm but overcast day.

MW vs HT Pitch Report

The pitch at Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Ground generally offers a balanced track but so far the three matches that we have seen this season have been high scoring, where the average 1st innings score is around the 185-190 run mark. Expect a good contest where 185-200 could be a par score given the slight overcast conditions and the pitch has remained under cover for quite a time now where there will be bit of moisture which will favour the bowlers.

Score Prediction

If Mysore Warriors Bat 1st: 165-180 runs
If Hubli Tigers Bat 1st: 175-190 runs

Toss: To Bowl

Afternoon matches have seen teams bowling first dominate where they dryness of the surface goes away a bit as the match progresses and it gets better for batting. Teams that win the toss will preferably bowl first and chase down any target that's ahead of them.

Toss Prediction: Mysore Warriors to win the coin toss

Hubli Tigers enter this contest as the favourites to win this match, their last match was washed out due to rain and they will be desperate to get some good game time and a win to kickstart their campaign, while the home team Mysore Warriors are in bit of a stutter at the moment having lost their last match by a big margin. We are backing the Hubli Tigers to come out on top in this fixture and secure their first win of the season.
