NEPU19-W vs QATU-19W Match Prediction & Analysis

With the growth of women's cricket across the globe, but particularly in this region, there is always plenty of excitement around any fixtures in the  the ACC Women's U-19 Premier Cup.

And this will be no different with Nepal Women U-19s bringing a strong and improving squad to Malaysia for this tournament and Qatar Women U-19s benefiting from a huge increase in funding.

On a pitch which is expected to produce a good contest between bat and ball, our expectation is for a close contest and it is likely to be the side who can hit the most boundaries who come out on top.

This promises to be an exciting clash on Saturday morning!

TEAMS PREVIEW

Nepal Women U19 Preview

Nepal Women U-19s have a strong group of players and the team management are never afraid to take a somewhat unorthodox approach to team selection dependent on the opponents.

And this may well be one of those contests where they elect to pack the batting line up and give utter freedom to the batters to play their shots and to only pick two front line bowlers.

In that case, Anu Kadavat and Krishma Gurung are likely to open the bowling and send down their allocation of four overs each.

With the bat, skipper Jvotsnika Marasini and Sana Praveen will be the main run-scorers.

Nepal Women U19 Predicted Playing XI:

Jyotsnika Marasini (c), Kiran Kumari Kunwar, Sana Praveen, Sony Pakhrin, Puja Mahato, Seemana KC, Sneh Mahara, Tirsana Bishwokarma, Alisha Kumari Yadav (wk), Anu Kadayat, Krishma Gurung

Qatar Women U19 Preview

With an inexperienced group of players, this tournament is likely to be a tough one for Qatar Women U-19s but they have an elite coach in India's Robin Singh so do not be surprised if they perform well and maybe even pull off some shock results!

Winning this match will be a long shot though and their only route to doing so is likely to be targeting the part time bowlers in the Nepal U-19 women's side.

Batting wise, skipper Romila Peter will open alongside Saachi Dhadwal whilst keeper-batter Shrutiben Rana is also a dangerous hitter of the ball when required.

Bowling wise, expect Sarrinah Ahmed and Apsara Weerasekara to lead the charge.

Qatar Women U19 Predicted Playing XI:

Romila Peter (c), Saachi Dhadwal, Shrutiben Rana (wk), Aleena Khan, Sneha Chandnani, Zunaira Shirgaonkar, Taful Elkhair, Pooja Satheesh, Hiya Ladani, Sarrinah Ahmed, Apsara Weerasekara

Weather Conditions

According to the weather forecast, there may well be some thunder storms and humid conditions around during the scheduled time of the game. Expect highs of 31 degrees and cloudy skies.

NEPU19-W vs QATU-19W Pitch Report

The venue is one which provides consistent bounce throughout the game. Whoever bats first will be looking to post a total of around 120 to be competitive.

Toss: To Bowl

Both teams have stronger batting line-ups than bowling so our prediction is that both skippers will go out for the toss planning to bowl first if they call correctly.
