The England Domestic One-Day Cup 2025 is in the final stage of the group games. The Notts Outlaws will host Gloucestershire at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on 22nd August from 3:30 pm onwards. The outlaws are in the fourth position of Group A’s points table. On the other hand, Gloucestershire are at the top with five wins in the five games. A win can secure their place in the knockouts.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws pulled off a crucial win over Hampshire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup to close the gap at the top of Group A. Despite Nick Gubbins’ brilliant 144* carrying Hampshire to 290, the Outlaws’ chase was driven by Jack Haynes’ fluent 97 and skipper Haseeb Hameed’s commanding 86. Earlier, Joe Pocklington starred with 3 for 28, restricting Hampshire to middling partnerships around Gubbins’ masterclass. Haynes and Ben Slater’s 83-run stand gave Notts a solid start before Hameed’s aggressive half-century steered them toward the finish. Though late wickets added tension, Lyndon James and Pocklington kept their composure to secure victory with eight balls to spare. The result lifted the Outlaws to their third win, right on Hampshire’s heels in the standings.

Gloucestershire preserved their unbeaten run in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup with a dominant six-wicket victory over Worcestershire at New Road. Josh Shaw’s miserly opening spell set the tone as Worcestershire managed only 237 for 8, with several batters getting starts but none pushing beyond 40. In reply, Oliver Price (66) and Ben Charlesworth (50) built a crucial 105-run stand that broke the chase open. Though both fell quickly, Captain Jack Taylor took control with a rapid unbeaten 50, finishing the match with the winning runs. Supported by Graeme van Buuren, he guided Gloucestershire to 240 for 4 with 43 balls to spare. The win took Gloucestershire to five wins from five, virtually assuring qualification.

In the last season of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup, Gloucestershire chased down 333 to beat Nottinghamshire Outlaws by seven wickets at Trent Bridge. Outlaws skipper Haseeb Hameed struck a superb 106, adding 129 with Lyndon James (61) and 80 with Tom Moores (40), as Notts posted 332 before collapsing late against Graeme van Buuren’s 3 for 40. Miles Hammond then stole the show with a blistering 157, combining in a 151-run opening stand with Cameron Bancroft (52). Ollie Price (61*) and Ben Charlesworth guided Gloucestershire home with 20 balls to spare.

Weather Conditions

The weather at Leeds is expected to be cloudy on match day, with temperatures ranging between 20 and 12 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow from the southeast at 15-21 km/h. Trnet Bridge has a bit of a reputation for being unpredictable. Some days, the ball moves around early, giving the bowlers plenty to smile about with swing and seam on offer. On other occasions, it flattens out nicely and turns into a good batting surface, allowing big runs to be scored. In recent years, the ground has produced everything from low-scoring scraps to thrilling high-scoring contests.
